- Ongoing Full-Time
- Location: Eveleigh with access to flexible working arrangements available
- Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8 with base salary ranging from $113,574 to $125,720 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
The NSW Department of Education's Information Technology Directorate (ITD) is transforming. We've streamlined our structure, strengthened our technical capability, and aligned every team to deliver real, lasting value for students, teachers and schools across New South Wales.
There are exciting opportunities within Technology Enablement (TE) where you'll partner with stakeholders across the department to uncover technology pain points & translate current and evolving requirements into robust IT roadmaps and digital project demand deliverables.
The successful candidate would be comfortable providing support to TE leadership and broad ITD teams with project demand management and coordination at all stages of the project demand life cycle working within a fast-paced and fluid IT environment.
About the role:
- Coordinate IT project demand management processes for Technology Enablement including the triaging of demand requests in line with IT policies
- Support the broader TE team with reviewing project demand requirements, availability and capacity demands for new and existing ICT project initiatives
- Support TE leadership with evaluation and prioritisation of demands based on strategy, financial capacity and resourcing
- Create and maintain project demand records within the ITD Service Now application in accordance with agreed ITD policies and ICT standards
- Track the progress of demands to ensure timely delivery and present essential information in demand governance forums
- Undertake quality assurance reviews of project demand handling to identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Act as a liaison between Technology Enablement and a broader mix of ITD and DoE Business Unit stakeholders to promote a clear understanding of IT governance processes and alignment of project demand priorities and expectations
About you:
- The ability to manage and communicate with a broader range of IT and non-IT stakeholders at all levels within DoE NSW
- Strong organisational skills and time management
- Knowledge of or experience in using Service Now is highly desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be open to working in a matrix environment of constant change
- Be a self-starter and able to manage competing work priorities
