Our client is a large, NSW government department that provides extensive education services
This a critical role to work on a complete redesign of their Leadership Learning Resource platform - a new digital, enterprise solution to meet the needs of school leaders; aiding them to develop their leadership capabilities to lead their schools
Role description:
The Test Analyst will be responsible for designing and implementation of the test plan covering functional, regression and integration testing - to ensure that the solution meets business requirements, technical specifications and quality standards.
They will prepare and execute the System Integration Testing plan and provide support for User Acceptance testing. The role involves developing test plans, executing test cases and producing test reports
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive test plan covering functional, regression, and integration testing
- Develop test cases based on the business requirements, user stories, technical specification and quality standards.
- Execute the System Integration Testing, documenting the testing results, creation of defects, retesting of bug fixes and regression testing.
- Prepare test data to support the test cases as required
- Coordinate User Acceptance testing, assist business users and log/report issues.
- Use tools (e.g. Jira) to log, triage and follow up on defects.
- Ensure the solution meets data privacy standards, accessibility standards (WCAG) and policy requirements
- Work collaboratively with the project team and business partners.
- Share accountability for the quality and accuracy of outputs, analysis, briefings and advice provided
- Escalate urgent, complex and/or significant issues to the role's supervisor, including those that may substantially affect resourcing, impact budget or disrupt service delivery
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience as a test analyst in a large complex IT environment and a proven ability to deliver complex user specifications and/or detailed business requirements
- Experience with automated test tools
- Experience in Learning Management System projects an advantage
- Proven understanding of project and systems development lifecycles and project management and business analysis methodologies (e.g. PRINCE 2, Agile).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast paced, complex project environment.
- Ability to prioritise work in a high demand environment.
- Ability to track and report on deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated strong relationship building skills
