About the role

As a Sales Consultant at Pentanet, you'll join a team that's all about connecting Perth metro communities with fast, reliable internet solutions.

Based at our brand new HQ in Balcatta, you'll engage with both prospective and existing customers, offering tailored advice and recommending services that best suit their needs and budget.

What you'll do

Reporting to our Sales Team Leader, you'll help ensure every new and returning customer has an exceptional joining experience. With a strong focus on growth, you'll work to exceed sales targets while ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to great service. Your proactive, consultative approach will play a key role in turning leads into loyal customers – supporting Pentanet's vision for connectivity across Perth.

In this role, you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for inbound sales enquiries via phone, email, and live chat.
  • Engage with prospective customers to promote our services, highlighting the benefits of our internet solutions in line with individual needs.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing customers, delivering experiences that foster loyalty and trust.
  • Actively listen, tailor your recommendations, and adapt your approach to maximise every sales opportunity.
  • Meet (and aim to exceed) monthly sales targets, contributing to team success and overall business growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop fresh ideas that drive both brand awareness and sales engagement.
  • Stay across our offerings, technology, and the competitive landscape to confidently handle customer queries.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM to track sales activities and follow-ups.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in our sales processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards while upholding Pentanet's high service standards.
  • Help foster a fun, inclusive, and positive team culture that reflects our values.

Who we're looking for

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • A strong commitment to understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions that elevate their experience.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries, sales calls, and follow-ups effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with customers and explain complex concepts in simple, relatable terms.
  • Confidence using CRM tools and basic office applications.

Desirable:

  • Background in the tech or telecommunications sector – especially internet services – is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with Fixed Wireless technology, or a genuine interest in learning more about the tech industry.
  • Experience using Zendesk.
