The candidate will need experience delivering substantial civil packages and having some onshore wind project experience would be ideal but not manditory. Delivery of a major project will be the focus.

Our client is a well-established and market leading national civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated
Construction Manager - Civil
to join their growing business on projects based in Gippsland. It will be a role either based in Gippsland or DIDO on a 5:2 roster.

Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining, resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a challenging projects.

This role will be working on the civil & electrical packages associated with onshore wind projects and you will be responsible for delivering values from $100m to $200m+ across access roads, footings, bulk earthworks etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and scheduling of construction activities
  • Management of site project teams in construction delivery
  • Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
  • Resolving site issues in a timely manner
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Recruitment and mentoring of teams

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
  • 7-20+ years' management experience on civil packages
  • Project management qualifications will be advantageous
  • Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
