We are currently assisting our client, a temporary Youth Ministry team, to recruit an Administration & Communications Assistant for a temporary part-time role. This position will support the team's important work by handling admin tasks, social media activity, and some creative design.


About the Role

This is a 3-days-per-week position (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays preferred), with consideration given to school hours for the right candidate. Standard workdays are 7.5 hours (9:00am–5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break).

This contract position requires an immediate start and ends in mid- December. It potentially could be extended to be a permanent role.

Your role will be to free up the Youth Ministry team by taking care of day-to-day administration and turning their strategies and ideas into practical outputs such as social media posts, flyers, and resources.

Key tasks include:

  • General admin duties – calendar management, minute taking, preparing reports, spreadsheets, and event tracking
  • Designing and formatting flyers, booklets, and other materials using Canva
  • Assisting with social media management (Facebook and Instagram) – posting updates and managing engagement
  • Supporting the team in shaping strategy into practical content such as posts, information packs, and resources

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organised, reliable, and comfortable with general admin tasks
  • Confident using Canva (you will most likely be asked to show your Canva knowledge/skills during the interview)
  • Proficient in using social media platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram
  • Able to manage time well and work independently when needed

Highly regarded but not essential:

  • An understanding of, or alignment with, the missionary aspect of the work and/or a personal faith
  • Previous experience in a similar role
