What does a Pharmacy Assistant do?

Our Pharmacy Assistants are often the first port of call when customers come into a TerryWhite Chemmart pharmacy. You will be responsible for sales, top level customer service and giving advice on over the counter medicines where appropriate. At TerryWhite Chemmart, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with the highest level of service in all aspects of our pharmacies, and our Pharmacy Assistants act as shining examples of this philosophy.

What's required to be a Pharmacy Assistant?

We're looking for someone with great attention to detail and an eye for merchandising. You will need strong communication skills and an ability to execute exceptional customer service on a consistent basis. A Pharmacy Assistant should have experience working as part of a team and, because there are so many different things to do, it's important you can multi task.

You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job.

Roles and Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Maintain the presentation of the store and service areas
  • Process sales through the till
  • Greet customers and proactively ask them if they need assistance, and refer to the Pharmacist as required
  • Accept prescriptions to be dispensed
  • Promote and operate our in-store TerryWhite Chemmart Health Services offering
  • Always work within QCPP standards and follow all Health and Safety legislation

Culture, Reward & Remuneration

We have a part-time position available ranging from 15-37 hours per week. Hours will be 9:30-5:30 Wednesday and Friday, Saturday 9:00-3:00 Saturday, with potential additional hours on Monday or Thursday.
