The role

We are currently seeking a provisional psychologist to provide clinical assessment and treatment services for children, adolescents & adults in our community. You will predominantly work with clients on NDIS plans, and so a large portion of your caseload will be work with children and parents. We are a neuroaffirming practice and much of our work centres around supporting clients with Autism and ADHD.

Ideally, you will be seeking to work 3 days per week, and will have the flexibility to work from home to conduct administrative work and telehealth appointments. Most client appointments will be onsite, but telehealth can be accessed where this is appropriate for the client (such as for some parent sessions), and all administrative tasks can also be performed from home or onsite from our breakout space. Onsite appointments will be a significant part of the role however, as many people in our community are seeking and require in person appointments.

The business

Mental Health in Mind is a small, community orientated psychology practice in the heart of Wallan, Victoria (Wallan is located approximately one hour North of Melbourne CBD, by car).

First established 9 years ago, we have now built a successful and well respected psychology practice in the local community. We have relationships with local medical centres, schools, community organisations, and NDIS coordinators; and see a steady stream of referrals. With a growing and varied population, the people and presenting problems we work with are also diverse. We also specialise in providing neurodevelopmental assessments, including Autism, ADHD and cognitive assessments. Mental Health in Mind prides itself on being a neuroaffirming organisation, and we are passionate about promoting and supporting diversity within our team, and in educating and supporting the neurodiverse community.

We work from our own building, with various consulting rooms, a large breakout area for staff, a fully stocked resource and stationery hub, and a kitchen regularly replenished with healthy food options for snacks and meals We are also located right next door to the main cafe in central Wallan, Open House Cafe.
