Process Documentation & Enablement Specialist
(Business & Technical Writing for Digital Delivery)
Australia-based applicants only – must have full Australian working rights
6-month contract | ASAP start | Melbourne / Sydney / Remote (Australia)
Are you the kind of person who can watch how a team works and immediately see how to make it clearer, simpler, and easier for everyone to follow?
FDG Consulting is seeking a Process Documentation & Enablement Specialist to support one of our top-tier enterprise end clients on a large-scale digital transformation program. You'll help translate complex delivery processes into clear, actionable guidance that empowers people to perform at their best.
About the Role
You'll collaborate with Digital Integration Layer squads and value stream–aligned delivery teams, working across PMs, BAs, Developers, QAs, and Architects.
This role is for a collaborative observer and communicator. Someone who learns by engaging with people, understands the "why" behind how teams work, and then captures it in documentation that's both usable and sustainable.
You won't just document, you'll co-create the structure that helps a major digital program run more effectively and stay that way.
What You'll Do
- Partner with business and digital teams to observe and document real-world processes
- Develop onboarding guides for key delivery roles (PM, BA, Dev, QA, etc.)
- Identify role gaps and overlaps; collaborate with teams to define ownership and handoffs
- Create practical tools and templates such as Statements of Work (SOWs) and delivery guides
- Address informal knowledge gaps by formalising tacit processes and know-how
- Establish a documentation maintenance strategy to keep content current and relevant across the SDLC Blueprint
About You
You're a natural communicator who thrives in complex, people-driven environments. You listen first, write second, and have a knack for distilling what matters.
You'll bring:
- Experience in business or technical writing, process analysis, or digital delivery environments
- Familiarity with agile, product development, or systems delivery frameworks
- Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across disciplines from delivery leads to engineers
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills - connecting the dots between business goals and technical realities
- Full Australian working rights and availability to start soon on a 6-month contract
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Information Design, Technical Writing, Business Analysis, or a related discipline
- Proven capability in documenting processes, standards, and role-based practices within digital or enterprise environments
- Proficiency with documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Miro, or similar)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to structure, clarity, and usability
- A mindset that values continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sustainability
Why FDG Consulting?
FDG Consulting partners with leading Australian enterprises and top-tier brands to bridge the gap between strategy, delivery, and human enablement. We design and embed the processes, tools, and knowledge systems that help organisations scale digital capability with confidence.
You'll join a consultancy that values clarity, collaboration, and curiosity and where your work directly shapes how high-performing teams deliver.
If you're passionate about helping people and processes work better together, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now to be part of a meaningful digital transformation journey.
