We are seeking an experienced and driven Fire Services Operations Manager to lead our fire protection operations across South Australia. This is a rare opportunity to join a business with long standing and strong market presence and take ownership of a high-performing division delivering services across commercial, industrial, and government sectors.

About the Role as Operations Manager, you'll oversee the full suite of fire protection installations—spanning design, installation, minor works, and emergency support—across wet, dry and portable fire systems. You'll lead a skilled team of technicians and support staff, drive operational and financial performance, and champion service excellence across all contracts.

This role combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and business development, making it ideal for a fire services leader with strong technical knowledge and a commercial mindset.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations

  • Deliver service excellence across Installation, compliance, and minor works
  • Manage full project life cycles from quoting and tendering to delivery and handover
  • Develop annual business plans and oversee P&L, forecasting, and budget performance
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Customer & Contract Management

  • Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard and on schedule
  • Maintain strong client relationships and drive customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with consultants, certifiers, and regulators to ensure compliance

Sales & Growth

  • Identify and pursue new works opportunities
  • Prepare and present quotes for contracts and variations
  • Support business growth through customer retention and acquisition

Team Development & Culture

  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team of technicians and admin staff
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and foster a positive team culture
  • Lead by example and uphold company values in all internal and external dealings

What We're Looking For, Qualifications & Experience

  • Fire Protection services experience Essential
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards and fire protection systems
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications/Experience in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services
  • Experience with operational budgets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Current South Australian Driver's Licence & White Card
