About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Fire Electrician to join the team at Excel Fire & Electrical. As a Fire Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment related to fire safety in commercial and industrial properties across Adelaide. What you'll be doing

  1. Carrying out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs on fire detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other fire-related electrical equipment
  2. Inspecting and testing fire and electrical systems to ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and regulations
  3. Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with fire and electrical systems, and implementing effective solutions
  4. Providing high-quality customer service to clients, responding promptly to call-outs and queries
  5. Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and builders, to coordinate project work
  6. Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all work undertaken
  7. Adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. A valid Electrician's license with Certificate III in Electrotechnology or apprentice electrician.
  2. Experience working as a Fire Electrician or in a similar role
  3. Strong technical knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other fire-related electrical equipment
  4. Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  5. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
  6. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  7. A commitment to workplace health and safety
  8. A reliable and team-oriented approach
