We are seeking two experienced Leading Hand Electricians to join an expanding team. This role combines hands-on work with leadership responsibilities, offering the chance to guide apprentices, oversee projects, and continue progressing your career in the commercial electrical sector.

  • Monday to Friday | 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Role split: 60% on the tools, 40% off the tools

Leading Hand Electrician – Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a productive and reliable electrical team
  • Train and mentor apprentices, ensuring skills development and quality workmanship
  • Electrical installations and maintenance across a range of commercial projects
  • Ensure WHS site requirements are upheld at all times
  • Identify variations and provide updates to the Project Manager
  • Support a safe, harmonious, and productive workplace environment
  • Complete required onsite documentation accurately and on time

Key Requirements

  • QLD Electrical Mechanic Licence
  • Minimum 3 years' post-trade commercial experience
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory / leading hand role
  • EWP – Over 11m
  • Current Driver's Licence & White Card
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices
  • Open Cablers Licence with endorsements (advantageous)

Technical experience required:

  • Deliver a variety of commercial onsite electrical works
  • Work with complex designs, providing configuration solutions when required
  • Perform fault finding, diagnosis, repairs, and installations in commercial & industrial environments
  • Data & communication installation, rough-in, cable tray, and fit-off work
  • Work autonomously or as part of a team, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Liaise with customers, supervisors, and project managers professionally

Additional Information

  • Must be flexible to travel across Brisbane for site work and to lead projects across SEQ as required
  • Head Office located at Acacia Ridge – attendance required occasionally for toolbox talks, meetings, and equipment collection
  • Senior commercial maintenance electricians with 5+ years' service experience are encouraged to apply if seeking progression into leadership and management
