About the role

The Work Right Hub supports migrant workers, providing information about rights at work and accessing relevant support services.

The Project Lead will have responsibility for coordinating a diverse range of activities that support the management, improvement, and dissemination of the Work Right Hub.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a program of practical initiatives to improve and promote the Work Right Hub
  • Engage directly with community members, workers, businesses, and support services to build awareness of modern slavery
  • Represent Australian Red Cross in external meetings, committees, and forums
  • Facilitate training and workshops with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of activities aimed at mitigating modern slavery

You will bring

  • Relevant degree with relevant experience or less formal qualifications with specialised skills
  • Deep subject matter expertise in modern slavery and labour exploitation, with a sound understanding of vulnerability experienced by migrants in the Australian context
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops, present training, strengthen existing internal and external relationships and build new strategic connections
  • Sound analytical skills and demonstrated ability to distil, interpret, and present findings clearly and concisely in written reports

  • Demonstrated sound technical knowledge and expertise in project management

Mandatory Requirements

A clearance to work with children and a current Australian drivers licence
