About us

We have an opportunity for a Principal Lawyer to be part of our Subpoena Objections Team, InfoLink, Office of the General Counsel. You will be responsible for the provision and coordination of high quality, ethical and professional legal representation, advice and support relating to various orders or requests for information directed to the Commissioner of Police, and in particular, subpoenas to produce. The requests will arise across a range of State and Federal jurisdictions in potentially factually interesting and legally complex matters. You will be responsible for your own legal practice (which will include advice, litigation, and advocacy) and will manage a small team.
As a newly created role, you have the opportunity to make it yours and to make a significant and positive impact on the way in which subpoenas are managed by the NSW Police Force. The successful candidate will be confident working autonomously, have sound and varied legal experience and expertise, and a proactive and solutions focussed approach.
