The Opportunity
As Program Lead - Construction, you will design and deliver training pathways that ensure our construction workforce is safe, compliant, and equipped to deliver some of the most complex infrastructure projects in the country.
This is a role with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, industry partners, and training providers to ensure our programs reflect real-world challenges and emerging practices. From onboarding new staff to upskilling experienced professionals, you will be at the heart of building capability for a workforce that underpins the delivery of critical energy infrastructure.
A Day in the Life at Transgrid
In this role you'll:
Lead trainers and oversee delivery of construction-focused training programs.
Design structured pathways that support both immediate operational needs and long-term workforce planning.
Partner with the RTO to create compliant, nationally aligned training courses.
Engage with external training providers and subject matter experts.
Maintain a training calendar that is accurate, current, and aligned with business priorities.
About You
You are a construction professional with a passion for training and workforce development. You understand the demands of delivering construction safely and effectively, and you know how to translate that into practical, engaging training programs. You will bring:
Solid background in construction within the electricity or utilities sector.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
Experience designing and delivering technical training programs.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
