About Us:
This is not just another job advertisement and if you are looking for career progression, you should keep reading. This is a unique opportunity to sink your teeth into something special and really make a real difference.
Imagine yourself working within our enthusiastic People and Culture team, supporting 6 distinct businesses as part of an external management group. Each business operates independently, yet is united by a core leadership team that bridges both internal and external boundaries, driving success and fostering collaboration across all entities.
We believe that our people are our greatest asset with over 150 employees working for the group and quickly growing both onshore and offshore. We are committed to creating an inclusive and performing workplace where everyone can thrive.
As we continue to grow and innovate, we are seeking a passionate and experienced People and Culture Coordinator to join our team and help us foster a positive, productive, and engaging work environment where high performance is an understatement.
In this role you would report directly to the Head of People and Culture whose team are hard working, passionate and positive.
About the role:
Are you ready to take the next big step in your HR career? Of our 6 businesses, you would be responsible for supporting the Head of People and Culture, specifically in two of the brands. This gives you the opportunity to own your space and learn and grow as you do. You will not only play a critical role in shaping our workplace culture and ensuring that our HR practices support our strategic objectives, but you will also be directly mentored by our Head of People and Culture to develop you into a People and Culture Business Partner when you are ready.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a driven HR professional to make a significant impact and quickly grow into a more senior position. This position requires a go getter, someone who has contagious energy and is driven to succeed. Someone who loves fast paced work and craves a challenge.
How you would help us:
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new hires (we have recruited over 50 people so far this year and your success here will be a big focus of the role).
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Help develop and implement performance management programs that support employee growth and organisational goals.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career progression.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Contribute to fostering a culture of performance, positivity, and belonging.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand their HR needs and provide operational support.
- Analyse HR metrics and provide insights to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Assist the Head of People and Culture with HR department tasks, demonstrating reliability and capability and drive.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Laws, or a related field (desired but not a deal breaker).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in HR coordination or a similar role (preferably with companies with over 100 people).
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and strategic best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a self starter and a real owner of your role.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, autonomously.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Direct pathway to People and Culture Business Partner role (based on performance).
- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
- A supportive and inclusive work environment.
- The chance to make a significant impact on our company culture and employee experience.
Sound like you?
We'd love to hear from you BUT please don't submit a generic cover letter. We want people who go above and beyond and consider themselves high performers. Submit your resume and a short cover letter telling us why you're excited about this role, and what makes you thrive in a people-first environment. Bonus points for addressing it to Megan Jack, Head of People and Culture. Extra bonus points for reaching out on linkedin to say hello.
