Casual Maritime/ Recreational Boat Trainer

Newcastle Maitland Hunter, Australia Maritime Safety Training NSW Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Due to the expansion of Maritime and Safety Training NSW, we are seeking a passionate trainer to join our team. In this role, you will be delivering high-quality training and education to students who are working towards achieving a Maritime Certificate or obtaining their Recreational Boat and PWC (Personal Watercraft) Licence.

We are looking for current or former maritime professionals with hands-on experience delivering recreational boat licence training in NSW, who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with the next generation of mariners.

Company Requirements:

To be considered, you must:

  • Hold a minimum Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal or equivalent).
  • Have previous experience as a Service NSW Provider (ATP) for recreational boat licence training.
  • Hold Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122) or currently working towards completion.
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
  • Working With Children Check
  • Police Check

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an engaging and safe learning environment.
  • A genuine passion for maritime safety and education.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or after-hours as required.
