About Direct Care Resources:

With over 25 years of industry experience, Direct Care Resources is a trusted care provider in South-East Queensland. We prioritise participant health, safety, and well-being, specialising in providing support in SIL houses and Child Protection Services.

Your duties as a Support Worker include assisting participants with challenging behaviors, physical, intellectual, or psychiatric disabilities, and/ or providing compassionate support to vulnerable children and young people under Child Protection Orders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support throughout the day-to-day living including but not limited to housekeeping, cooking, grocery shopping, personal care, and hygiene
  • Community access and transportation
  • Accurate and reliable completion of mandatory shift notes and incident reports as per industry standards
  • High-level attention and understanding of medication administration as directed by policy and client care plans

About you:

  • Confident, ability to be able to stand your ground and set boundaries
  • Proactive, able to think on your feet when under pressure
  • Good Written and Verbal Communication, able to communicate to the team to pass on feedback and participant updates

Your Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check/ Yellow Card
  • Blue Card (Paid)
  • Full Australian Driver's Licence
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care, or equivalent industry experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Own Vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
  • Current and valid Level 2 First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Capacity to work flexible hours on a rotating roster across weekdays, weekends, public holidays. Morning, afternoon and evening availability required.

Please note, given the nature of the role, we require staff who are double vaccinated against COVID-19.
