Job Description:

The Vascular Nurse Specialist will be pivotal in ensuring safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive care from pre-operative preparation to post-operative monitoring and rehabilitation. This role requires developing specialist expertise in advanced wound care, including the use of negative-pressure therapy and the management of complex dressings.

Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the Vascular Nurse Specialist will contribute to collaborative care planning that prioritises holistic support and optimises patient outcomes. The successful candidate will have a commitment to safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Strong communication and engagement skills with patients, carers, and colleagues.
  • Professionalism, empathy, and the ability to resolve conflict constructively.
  • Evidence-based clinical decision-making and critical thinking.
  • Active participation in risk management, WHS, and quality improvement initiatives.
