The Brisbane Lions Institute of Business & Sport (BLIBS) is seeking a dynamic Education Program Manager to lead our education portfolio. This pivotal role will drive the success of our dual diploma program by working closely with students, educators, TAFE Queensland, and the wider Brisbane Lions organisation.
This full-time role reporting to the GM - People & Culture and based at Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield Central, a cutting-edge Elite Sports Performance Facility where excellence and innovation are part of our business, both on and off the field.
As the key leader of the program, you'll ensure an exceptional student experience, manage partnerships, and oversee the delivery of innovative, real-world learning opportunities. Working in close collaboration with our education partner, TAFE Queensland, you'll be responsible for student attraction and retention, the integration of work-based learning across the Club, and the seamless management of program deliverables.
The Brisbane Lions Institute provides students with a unique opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while immersing themselves in the professional sporting environment of an elite AFL club.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the relationship and compliance requirements with our education partner (TAFE Queensland)
- Oversee student experience, including managing student wellbeing issues, with the support of education partner
- Drive student recruitment through school engagement, career expos, and information sessions.
- Develop and implement robust risk management and workplace health and safety processes.
- Oversee the continued delivery of a comprehensive work integrated learning program and identification of new opportunities across the Club and approved partners
- Lead and support a team to provide an exceptional, end-to-end student experience with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Manage student engagement and retention strategies, including events and activities.
- Build internal advocacy for the program across the Club, partners and other key stakeholders
- Program innovation and development of growth strategies to expand the program offerings
- Reporting on key deliverables and outcomes across quarterly partner meetings
Our Ideal Candidate
The Brisbane Lions are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic person with experience in education program management.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Education, Sports Management or related disciplines
- Previous experience in education program management, project management and/or sales and marketing
- Previous experience in team management
- Current Work with Children Check
It is desirable that the candidate will have experience in student learning and wellbeing, training in the education sector and/or experience working in the elite sporting industry
