Join Gunnedah Leather Processors PTY Ltd as a full-time Industrial Electrician based in Gunnedah, NSW. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical systems and equipment within our leather processing facility. Your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities will be essential in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, motors, switchgear, and other industrial equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns
  • Interpret electrical diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Install, commission, and test new electrical equipment and systems
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety standards and regulations
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production staff
  • Maintain detailed records of all electrical work performed

What we're looking for

  • Formal trade qualifications as an Industrial Electrician, including a current Electrical License
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, design, and installation practices
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Commitment to safety and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
