About the Role

CEFA PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team based in Orange, NSW. This full-time role provides excellent career development opportunities within our expanding mining services company. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing electrical and fire systems across our mining operations.

Important Note:

This is not a FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) position. Successful candidates must reside in or near Orange, NSW 2800, to facilitate daily commuting to the site. However, for the right candidate, we are happy to provide assistance with relocation.

Key Responsibilities


• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on various electrical and fire equipment/systems.


• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, implementing effective solutions.


• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.


• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all electrical work.


• Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team.


• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and reliability.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:


• A valid Electrical License and qualification as an Electrician.


• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a mining or industrial environment.


• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring, and equipment.


• The ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.


• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.


• A strong commitment to safety and high-quality work standards.


• Flexibility to work 10–12 hour days, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts.

Highly Beneficial (But Not Essential):


• Experience in testing to AS1851 or fire installation work to AS1670.1.
