Syscon is a trusted Level 1 and Level 2 Accredited Service Provider (ASP) specialising in safe and reliable solutions for projects involving the Electricity Distribution Network. With a dedicated team of experts and in-house resources, we excel in civil construction for both underground and overhead works. Our mission is to install, upgrade, repair, and maintain the OH and UG electricity network, ensuring seamless connectivity between residential and commercial properties and the electricity distribution network Syscon is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager at Syscon, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing projects related to Level 1 and Level 2 ASP work. Your responsibilities will include planning, coordination, and management of projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, on-time project delivery and cost control.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (Desirable).
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the electrical distribution or construction industry.
  • Energy and Climate Change authorisation for ASP works (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Level 1 and Level 2 ASP services and regulations
  • Strong leadership, team management skills and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to quality
  • Experience with any of the DNSP networks (Ausgrid, essential energy, or endeavour energy) with a network training passport (Preferred)
  • Experience with any of the DNSP construction standards and CRM portals (Preferred)
  • Experience with reading and interpreting DNSP electrical designs(Preferred)

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of professionals, including in-house labor and plant resources, to achieve project objectives.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and standards, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high-quality project delivery, meeting or exceeding industry standards.
  • Budget Management: Efficiently manage project budgets, monitoring expenses and cost control measures.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate project risks, taking proactive measures to overcome challenges.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure projects comply with ASP requirements.
