About us

Muddy Paws Pack Adventures is a dog adventures service based in the Greater Hobart area providing dogs an amazing day out. Dogs are booked in weekly for their adventures in groups 10 with their friends and get to enjoy two hours of off lead running, sniffing, playing and swimming at our private doggy paradises Dogs are picked up and dropped home happily dreaming of their next adventure. A typical work day starts with the first dog pick up at 8am and last drop off around 3/4pm, Monday to Friday.

Positions available for between 1 and 5 days per week (Monday to Friday). Immediate start is preferred.

Qualifications & experience

  • Candidates must have experience working with dogs or in the outdoors, preferably both.
  • A good level of physical fitness is required for walking across rugged terrain and steep slopes as well as lifting dogs as required.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to manage changing or emergency situations with speed and decisiveness.
  • Candidates must be able to drive a van on their own and have a clean driving record.
  • An adequate level of written ability is required to converse professionally with clients over text or social media.
  • A certificate in dog first aid is preferred but not essential
  • The ability to work unsupervised and a high level of personal integrity is essential. A clean police check is required.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Collecting and returning 10 dogs in a supplied van from their homes.
  • Leading a safe and enjoyable 2 hour adventure, monitoring dogs behaviour and body language and managing this using positive reinforcement techniques. Removal of faeces to maintain the cleanliness of the blocks we use.
  • Drying and minor grooming of dogs to remove buzzies, sticks, grass and of course mud
  • Uploading photos and videos to social media of the dogs adventuring for their families and followers to enjoy. Muddy Paws has a presence on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
  • Providing an update to each client about how their dog went on the adventure and updating the team leader on the adventure.
  • Regular van cleaning inside and out to maintain a professional and hygienic workspace.
