Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health Triage

This is for a Permanent Part Time or Fixed Term Part Time appointment for 0.6 FTE. A Fixed Term appointment will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

What is our Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health Triage role?

This position provides primary triage response to all referrals made to Mirrabooka Community Mental Health:

• Identifies the nature and appropriateness of referrals and sets priorities for management.
• Collates information for presentation to the Mirrabooka Community Mental HealthAssessment and Treatment team (ATT) and to the Continuing Treatment Teams (CTT).
• Provides assessment and support for individuals experiencing mental health problems.
• Conducts emergency assessments and brief intervention as required.

The Mental Health and Dental Health Services (MHDHS) Community Adult Mental Health Stream provides evidence based, specialised mental health services supported by strategic planning. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
