We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Roster Administrator for a part-time, fixed-term role (6 months) based in Geelong. The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours per week across five days, with indicative shifts of 7:00am-10:45am, however there is some flexibility available with start and finish times.

Your New Role

The Roster Administrator works alongside our two wonderful Roster Coordinators to build and adjust our direct supports roster. This vital role involves frequent communication with our customers and our team of Support Workers to ensure that all rostered shifts and activities are staffed by suitably skilled and qualified staff, in line with the interests, availability and personal preferences of each individual customer and staff member.

The Roster Administrator also plays a key role in monitoring compliance with Australian workplace laws/Awards and is responsible for the bulk of the Roster Team's administrative tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in rostering/scheduling
  • Previous experience in an administrative or operational human resources/recruitment role (e.g. Temp Recruiter, Resource Planner) preferred, but not essential
  • Customer service experience, alongside the ability to cultivate positive internal and external relationships
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt communications to suit the intended audience
  • Experience in interpreting Awards and/or knowledge of the SCHADS Award would be highly regarded
  • Strong emotional intelligence, resilience and the capacity to manage a fast-paced, high-volume workload
  • Administrative skills, alongside the ability to manage individual and team workloads and deadlines
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the disability sector and the NDIS would be advantageous
