About Us
Pennine Pacific is a strategic advisory firm that works with founders, executives and boards to drive high-impact transformations. We are currently leading the go-to-market strategy for an ambitious new technology platform in the medical sector, backed by one of Australia's largest human resources businesses. The platform is designed to connect and support doctors through content, conversation and community.
The Opportunity
This is not a desk-bound marketing role. We are looking for a hands-on creator and natural storyteller
to be the face on camera
and engine room of our social media content.
This role is ideal for an experienced content creator or a professional communicator (perhaps with a background in journalism or PR) looking to apply their skills in a dynamic, digital-first environment.
This is your chance to experiment, take creative risks and make content that gets people talking. As a fully funded project, you'll have a dedicated budget for production, travel and bringing your best ideas to life.
Let's be clear about the mission:
We want to build the most trusted and engaging resource for medical and allied health professionals
, whether they are already practising in Australia or considering a move here. Your work will be central to this.
Our brand is built on three core principles:
Community First, Credibility is Currency and Authenticity Over Polish.
By creating authentic content, you will build a community that not only supports professionals throughout their Australian career journey but also drives the growth of our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Journalistic Approach:
Research and develop compelling angles for our content, ensuring all information is accurate, credible and engaging for a professional audience.
- On-Camera Hosting & Content Creation:
Act as a primary host and creator for our social channels. Your core duties will be broad and exciting, including:
- Conducting polished, in-person interviews with our network of internal specialists, partners, and affiliates.
- Filming dynamic 'on-the-street' interviews by confidently approaching medical professionals at conferences, events, or outside hospitals.
- Covering a diverse range of topics from career and registration advice to Australian lifestyle and culture.
Adapting your interview style to be insightful and professional or light-hearted and fun, depending on the topic and platform.
Embody Our Brand Voice:
Act as
'The Mentor,' 'The Colleague,' and 'The Insider'
for our community, flexing your tone from empathetic and supportive to witty and connected, depending on the audience and topic.
- Multi-Channel Editing:
Edit and adapt raw footage into multiple assets, creating everything from professional pieces for LinkedIn to fun, trend-driven clips for TikTok that have viral potential.
- Affiliate Content Curation:
Integrate and edit content provided by our community of affiliate partners, blending it with our original content to maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Collaborate on Concepts:
Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and work with the strategy team to develop and implement innovative content ideas, co-develop content plans, create production briefs and bring our strategy to life
Who You Are
- A Polished On-Camera Professional:
You are a
confident and engaging host, comfortable in front of a camera
and skilled at guiding conversations. Experience in a broadcast or professional media setting is a major plus.
- A Natural Journalist & Storyteller:
You know how to connect with people, ask the right questions, and find the heart of a story. You can discuss sensitive topics like career pressure with empathy and nuance.
- An Empathetic Storyteller:
You know how to connect with people and tell human-centric stories. You understand how to discuss sensitive topics like career pressure with empathy and nuance.
- An Experienced Video Creator:
You have a strong portfolio that showcases your skills in filming and editing for social media and, more importantly, demonstrates your ability to grow a social media presence.
- A Creative Spark with a Sense of Humour:
You're full of ideas and aren't afraid to try new things. You know that professional content can still be fun and that the best ideas often live outside the box.
- A Great Collaborator:
You excel at taking a creative brief and bringing it to life, working closely with other team members to achieve a shared vision.
Our Team & Your Resources
You won't be working in a silo. This role is a key part of a larger, collaborative team.
You'll be supported by a dedicated team at Pennine Pacific that develops the content strategy, manages the day-to-day social media presence and builds our affiliate program.
More importantly, you will have unparalleled access to a deep pool of internal experts for your content. This includes over 700 staff from our client's network, featuring recruiters, AHPRA specialists, lawyers and experts in aged care, home care and NDIS. These professionals are your content goldmine, readily available for interviews, Q&As and to provide the insights for your creations.
What We Offer
- A competitive compensation package, based on your experience and a proven track record of substantially growing and engaging social media communities.
- The opportunity to be a creative face of a new, venture-backed platform in the medical space.
- A dedicated budget for production costs, equipment and travel.
- Flexible and remote working arrangements.
- A supportive team environment where you can focus on your craft as a creator.
Our Hiring Process
We value your time and believe in a transparent process. Our goal is to understand your creative skills in a way that goes beyond a standard interview.
Our typical process includes:
- Introductory Interview:
A conversation with our project lead to discuss your experience and/or portfolio and the role in more detail.
2. Creative Exercise:
A short, practical exercise to see your creative approach and on-camera confidence. This might be a mock interview or a content ideation task. Please be assured, this is purely an assessment exercise and none of the material will be used publicly.
3. Final Conversation:
A final chat with key stakeholders from the project.
If this sounds like the challenge you've been looking for and you're ready to create content with a real-world impact, we strongly encourage you to apply.
