Your New Role and Responsibilities

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Scheduler with strong planning and scheduling capabilities to support a growing portfolio of work at Leidos. This role requires someone with a strong understanding of the planning and schedule best practices and how this drives project delivery and reporting. You will be expected to work collaboratively with the project management and technical (engineering) team to ensure all project dependencies, scope of work and constraints are captured and analysed to ensue integrity of the baselined data. You will have strong attention to detail, the ability to manage risks that may cause schedule delays and ensure minimal schedule impact.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control the baselined Contract Master Schedule (CMS), including the Work Breakdown Structure, and monitor all variances against the approved project baseline.

  • Gather inputs from product leads and technical teams to capture and analyse inter-dependencies, scope, risks, constraints, and milestones in relation to the CMS.

  • Proactively identify scheduling issues and implement mitigation strategies to support project objectives.

  • Analyse project status data to support management meetings and contribute to monthly Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.

  • Generate and assess schedule performance metrics, variance reports, and status updates; assist with program resource planning and forecasting in collaboration with Program Management and team leads.

About You

  • Experienced Scheduler with a strong ability to engage and collaborate across complex stakeholder environments.

  • Desirable background in large, complex, defence-related projects.

  • Proficient in using MS Project for schedule development and management.

  • Skilled in creating schedules, setting and tracking baselines, and conducting updates and replanning activities.

  • Brings solid technical expertise to support project delivery in complex environments.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a Baseline level security clearance.

  • We are committed to making our recruitment process accessible to all candidates. Please contact our Careers team if you'd like to discuss any additional support during your application or throughout the recruitment process.

At Leidos, we don't want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, "what's next?" before the dust settles on "what's now."

If you're already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You'll fit right in.
