Cloud Engineer

Kubernetes (k8s):

• Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts, and best practices.
• Proficiency in managing Kubernetes resources, such as pods, deployments, services, and ingresses.
• Experience with Kubernetes networking and storage configurations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues within Kubernetes clusters.
• Knowledge of Helm for managing Kubernetes applications.

Helm Charts:

• Proficiency in maintaining Helm charts for deploying applications on Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Helm chart templates, values files, and dependencies.
• Experience with Helm repositories and versioning.

Terraform:

• Experience in infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform

Docker:

• Understanding the core concepts of Containerization
• Knowledge of building images with Dockerfile

Linux

• Advanced Linux system administration
• Proficiency in bash/shell scripting for automation and system maintenance
• Experience with system monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, and system security practices

Keycloak (integrated with client LDAP system if required):

• Experience in deploying and configuring Keycloak for identity and access management.
• Knowledge of integrating Keycloak with LDAP systems (if required).
• Understanding of security best practices for authentication and authorization.

PostgreSQL Database (DB) (YfP specific):

• Expertise in PostgreSQL administration, including installation, configuration, and monitoring.
• Experience with database backups, replication, and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of SQL and database security.

MsSQL Database (DB) (YfG specific):

• Expertise in MsSQL administration, including installation, configuration, and monitoring
• Experience with database backups, replication, and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of SQL and database security.

Nginx Ingress Controller:

• Expertise in Nginx administration, including installation, configuration, and monitoring.

Hadoop HDFS and YARN Cluster:

• Understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components, including HDFS and YARN.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing Hadoop clusters.
• Experience with cluster resource management and job scheduling.
• Knowledge of Hadoop cluster monitoring and troubleshooting.

Apache Spark Libraries for Data ETL:

• Expertise in Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations.
• Experience with deploying and configuring Spark clusters.
• Proficiency in Spark programming with Python.
• Understanding of Spark job optimization and tuning.

Jupyter Enterprise Gateway, JupyterLab, JupyterHub:

• Knowledge of Jupyter ecosystem components and their roles.
• Experience in deploying and configuring Jupyter Enterprise Gateway.
• Proficiency in setting up and customizing JupyterLab and JupyterHub instances.
• Understanding of user authentication and access control in Jupyter environments.

Network administration

• knowledge of DNS configuration and management
• Understanding of TLS certificate management
• Experience with load balancing concepts and reverse proxy configuration
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, nslookup, dig, netstat)
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Knowledge of ingress traffic management in Kubernetes environments

Supplier for Performance usage

• Basic understanding of main YfP functionalities
• Ability to navigate in the application

Automation package usage

• Proficiency in understanding the automation package's architecture.
• Ability to interpret user requirements and translate them into additional automated workflows
• Ability to configure automation workflows

Required permissions

• Admin-level access to Kubernetes clusters.
• Access to Git repositories and CI/CD platforms for managing infrastructure code and Helm charts.
• Permissions to modify and manage TLS certificates and DNS records.

Responsibilities

• Helm chart implementation and upgrades.
• Maintain backups, and disaster recovery procedures.

Ensure continuous monitoring and health checks of all infrastructure components
