Title: Cloud Network Engineer

Location: Sydney

Permanent Role.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and Implement Network Infrastructure: Cloud network engineers design and implement network infrastructure, including virtual private networks (VPNs), routing, and switching. They ensure that the network infrastructure is optimized for the cloud and that it meets the organization's requirements.
  2. Monitor and Troubleshoot Network Performance: Cloud network engineers monitor the performance of the network infrastructure, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and making necessary changes to optimize system performance.
  3. Implement Security and Compliance Controls: Cloud network engineers ensure that the network infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements. They work with IT security and compliance teams to implement security and compliance controls and ensure that they are being followed.
  4. Collaborate with IT Teams: Cloud network engineers work closely with other IT teams, including developers, operations, and security teams. They collaborate with these teams to ensure that the network infrastructure meets the organization's requirements and can support its goals.
  5. Automation: Cloud network engineers develop and implement automation processes to simplify and streamline the management of network infrastructure.

Qualifications

  1. Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
  2. Technical Skills: Cloud network engineers must be proficient in various cloud technologies, including virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies. They must also have a strong background in network infrastructure and security technologies.
  3. Analytical Skills: Cloud network engineers must have strong analytical skills to identify patterns and insights from network performance data.
  4. Collaboration Skills: Cloud network engineers must have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other members of the IT department.
