About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Dental Receptionist to join our friendly team at All About Teeth in Townsville. As a key member of our healthcare practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our dental clinic. This is a Casual position with full time hours, early starts but only working 4 days a week, no weekend work.

What you'll be doing

  1. Managing the reception area and greeting patients in a warm and professional manner
  2. Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments in our booking system
  3. Handling and processing patient payments, private health claims and other financial transactions
  4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and files
  5. Providing general administrative support to the dental team as required
  6. Promoting positive patient experiences and fostering strong patient relationships
  7. Flexibility with roles as Dental Assisting/Sterilisation will be required and experience is preferred but not essential

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner
  3. Strong organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  4. Ability to follow manuals and instructions
  5. A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively
  6. A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and the desire to provide exceptional patient care
