About the Role

Balmain Hospital is a community-based healthcare facility that has been caring for local people since 1885. It is dedicated to Aged Care, Rehabilitation and General Practice. Balmain Hospital is committed to providing the highest standards of healthcare to meet individual needs.

The HERO and Data Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring Sydney Local Health District complies with NSW Health GL2023_017 (HERO Data Collection: Health Establishment Registration Online). This position will be responsible for ensuring that all organisations, locations and service units within the Local Health Districts must register health establishments.

In addition, the HERO and Data Quality Manager is responsible for providing and guiding SLHD facility data coordinators the necessary support to ensure data collection requirements (both admitted and non-admitted) are always met.

Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant qualifications in Health Information Management, Information Technology, statistical analysis or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in the management and use of reporting systems and clinical information management in the public or private hospital system.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Ministry of Health and Commonwealth circulars and policies in relation to data collection, statutory reporting and clinical information.
