As a Business Development Associate focusing on new logo acquisition, you will help build Vocus's customer base by identifying prospects, engaging decision-makers, and supporting partner-led pursuits. Reporting to the Sales Manager Digital Acquisition SMB, this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. You'll follow Vocus's hybrid working policy (two days per week in the office) and no security clearance or shift work is required.
Key responsibilities
- Execute the end-to-end sales cycle for new logo opportunities, from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and closing, to consistently secure new customers.
- Identify high-potential prospects in the target market, using research, networking, and cold outreach to continuously feed the new business pipeline.
- Execute consultative sales engagements with prospects, uncovering business needs and aligning tailored solutions that clearly convey our value proposition and differentiation.
- Coordinate internal resources (pre-sales, product, finance, etc.) during proposal development and solution crafting for new prospects, ensuring a cohesive, client-centered sales approach.
- Own the negotiation and deal closure process, addressing customer objectives and objections to craft win-win agreements that drive new business growth.
- Meet new logo acquisition targets and key performance metrics, consistently achieving or surpassing quarterly goals for pipeline generation and closed business.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity information and sales forecasts in the CRM, providing management with clear visibility into pipeline status and expected new deals.
- Ensure a seamless handover of newly won customers to the onboarding and account management teams, conveying all relevant information and commitments to support a smooth implementation.
Key Skills & Experience
The following knowledge, experience, capabilities, qualifications, and attributes are required to be successful in the role. B2B business development experience and Bachelor's degree preferred.
