Ausure is one of the largest insurance broking groups in Australia and has been operating for 25 years. Ausure provides insurance broking services to more than 85 broking businesses, operating in over 100 locations across the country. Our company is dedicated to providing exceptional service and innovative solutions to our clients.

We're now looking for a Finance Coordinator to join our friendly and growing finance team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured daily tasks while being flexible and responsive to change. You will support both day-to-day accounts payable and assist in key month-end processes. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic insurance brokerage environment, with full on-the-job training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

  • Process supplier invoices and ensuring correct coding in Xero.
  • Ensure correct coding to general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing and invoice entry.
  • Prepare and execute fortnightly payment runs.

Month-End Support

  • Assist with journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Support broking commission accruals and payroll accruals.
  • Handle intercompany recharge entries.

About You

You're a numbers person with great attention to detail and a structured approach to your work. You're organised, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years' experience in accounts payable and/or general accounting.
  • Experience with month-end processes and account reconciliations.
  • Experience in financial services or insurance (desirable, not essential).
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or MYOB.
  • Solid Excel skills and a disciplined approach to time management.
