The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions across a diverse group of entities within the Liral Group. This includes private group companies, minerals and gas exploration operations, and personal entities. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial processes, reporting, and compliance obligations.

Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager manages the end-to-end finance function encompassing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, taxation (including BAS, PAYG, FBT, and payroll tax), and daily accounting transactions. The role also involves coordinating insurance renewals, overseeing inter-company recharges, and preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all entities.

The position requires strong attention to detail, technical accounting expertise, and a proactive approach to continuous process improvement. The Finance Manager works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure efficient operations and compliance with all statutory and group reporting requirements.

Candidates must hold a minimum Certificate IV qualification in accounting/ bookkeeping or related field.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proficiency with XERO
  • Managing bookkeeping and reconciliation processes for multiple entities.
  • Overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain financial accuracy and control.
  • Preparing and lodging BAS, PAYG, and other tax obligations.
  • Administering payroll for full-time, FIFO, and casual employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinating FBT reporting and insurance renewals across all entities.
  • Supporting the CFO with financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of finance or accounting experience required.
  • Australian work authorisation is required at time of application.

This role is central to maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of the Group, providing essential oversight across its various business interests.
