We are a small factory making retractable insect screens in Mansfield Brisbane.

We have an opportunity for someone seeking to work 2-3 days per week.

Over time, we can most likely be reasonably flexible regarding which days are worked. At the start, when training is necessary, it will be less flexible.

What you'll be doing?

  • Following written assembly instructions and cutting sheets to custom make retractable insect screens.

  • Handling and moving 6 metre long aluminium extrusions (not heavy, just a little awkward) in order to cut them to the required size as per the cutting sheet.

  • Assembling the components that have been cut to size as per the written instructions.

  • Helping with stock management, keeping work area clean, general duties and the like.

Depending on the person - we also have the opportunity to do site based installation and servicing work. For this, you need great communication and customer service skills.

Physical requirements: You'll be standing up a lot, and need the upper body strength to move the metal around, and the manual dexterity to fit small components together.

You'll have experience using drop saws, small hand tools, measuring tapes and know how to keep safe when doing so.

Ideally you'll have worked with powdercoated aluminium. Experience in the glazing industry, working with windows and doors is highly advantageous.
