Graduate Teacher Intern Role

About the RoleThe College is seeking to appoint one newly graduated teacher as full-time temporary (1.0 FTE) Graduate Teacher Intern to commence Term 1, 2026 until the end of 2026. Please note this is a term-time only position (38 weeks per year).

The positions provide the opportunity for a new graduate to work in an important role within our school and to gain valuable experience before assuming complete responsibility for their own class in the future.  

The successful applicant will work as an integral member of the Inclusive Learning department in providing support and enrichment for our students. The Inclusive Learning department supports Interns in meeting the diverse needs of our learners. The successful applicants will work in collaboration with class Interns to provide support and enrichment for small groups of students within the context of the regular classroom. The intern will also be given responsibility for planning, teaching and reflecting in the whole class context periodically throughout the year. Experience or interest in Special Education or Gifted Education would also be beneficial, but not essential.
