**About the Role**
The College is seeking to appoint a full-time (1.0 FTE) Drama Teacher on a permanent basis.
The Newington College Drama Department is home to thriving curricular and co-curricular programs. Students can choose Drama as an elective from Years 8 to 12 and study either HSC Drama or IB Theatre Arts, as well as VET Entertainment, in their senior years. Elective Drama courses are programmed to ensure students engage with an exciting and challenging range of theatrical styles, practitioners and play texts. The Newington College Drama Department is committed to creating a positive and dynamic classroom environment where respect, creative risk-taking and collaboration are valued.
The College offers both the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) and the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). The ability and willingness to teach in other areas, in conjunction with Drama, is highly desirable. The ability and willingness to contribute to the pastoral care and co-curricular program will be required. The Performing and Creative Arts at Newington are well-supported by both College Leadership and the wider community.
