About the PositionNewington College has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and suitably qualified Music Teacher to join our innovative Music Department on a permanent full-time commencing in Term 1,

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent general music classroom experience in teaching across Years 7 to 12. The music co-curricular program is very extensive and caters for choral, strings, contemporary music, woodwind, and brass. An ability and willingness to contribute to the pastoral care and co-curricular program will be required in this role.

  • have appropriate teaching and tertiary qualifications relevant to the position
  • be a dynamic and successful classroom practitioner with experience in leading others in the development and implementation of rigorous learning and teaching programs

  • utilise technologies to enhance the learning and teaching
  • work effectively as a member of an enthusiastic team
  • show a genuine appreciation and commitment to pastoral care
  • participate in the College's co-curricular program
  • lead colleagues to achieve excellence in learning and teaching
  • actively contribute to the sporting co-curricular program across both seasons.
