About the Role:

The Senior Head of Learning: Pedagogy & Professional Learning works collaboratively with members of the College Leadership Team and the Learning and Teaching Team, specifically the Heads of Learning (Pedagogy) to develop and enhance professional practice and learning culture at the College, for best outcomes for students.

The Senior Head of Learning: Pedagogy & Professional Learning Leader will establish the strategic priorities to enable teacher improvement, and growth through professional learning and oversee the implementation and review of the plan, to generate improvement across all areas of the school.

The position requires a collaborative and engaging mindset, with empathetic and effective actions and communication supported by good process and documentation. Quality in personal engagement and the formation of positive relationships with colleagues is essential. The role will make a significant contribution to an aspirational and rigorous culture of educational and operational excellence at Xavier through the support of all educators engaged with the College, and works in partnership with the Director of Learning and Growth, Directors of Campus and other members of the leadership team to mobilise priorities of school improvement through professional learning.
