Sydney, Canberra or Tweed Heads

As a Career Management Specialist, you'll support our return to work strategy by delivering tailored career coaching to injured workers and internal case managers. Working within various portfolios, you'll provide practical, person-centred support to help people re-enter the workforce with confidence.
This role suits someone with a public sector background and strong communication skills, who can navigate complex situations and keep people engaged in their return-to-work journey.
This will be a
full-time, 12 month secondment
position based in our
Sydney, Canberra or Tweed Heads
office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one career coaching to workers, tailored to individual goals and circumstances
- Guide participants through career transition, job search planning, and skills identification
- Build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders to support sustainable return-to-work outcomes
- Facilitate career management workshops and training sessions as needed
- Keep accurate records and contribute to reporting, audits and quality assurance activities
- Provide input on program improvements and share feedback to strengthen service delivery
About You
- Experience in career coaching, employment services, recruitment, HR or a related field
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Confident working independently and managing a varied caseload
- Skilled in guiding individuals through career change and employment transitions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital tools to support service delivery
- Experience in or with the public sector is highly desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of workers compensation legislation across multiple jurisdictions is considered an advantage
