We are seeking an experienced Data Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical data and analytics initiatives within a large-scale transformation program. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business, managing projects that develop foundational data assets, reporting products, and data pipelines that directly support strategic outcomes.

You'll work closely with cross-functional delivery squads, IT teams, service design, and analytics stakeholders to coordinate projects, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery of high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate delivery of data and reporting solutions across agile squads and project teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, balancing business priorities and technical dependencies.
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring compliance with standards, governance, and quality frameworks.
  • Actively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting using MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Engage a wide range of business and technical stakeholders to drive alignment and progress.
  • Provide delivery leadership while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Champion continuous improvement in data project delivery.

Essential Criteria

  • 8–10 years' experience successfully managing IT, data, or analytics projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Strong knowledge of project management and governance frameworks (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall).
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and an industry-recognised project management certification.

Desirable Criteria

  • Awareness of accessibility and inclusive design approaches.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and/or SAS.
  • Familiarity with data testing and UAT execution.
