Retail Manager – Kings Langley Discount Drug Store

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 40 Hours per Week Salary

Are you an experienced Retail Manager ready to take the lead in a dynamic, customer-focused pharmacy environment? Kings Langley Discount Drug Store, part of the Douglas Chemists Group, is seeking a passionate and driven Retail Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The Retail Manager is responsible for leading and managing the retail team to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve sales growth, and ensure operational excellence. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the retail team to achieve sales and customer service targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Manage inventory to optimize stock availability and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Oversee operational standards, including compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts to meet financial objectives.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including payroll and inventory.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing retail team.
  • Foster a positive, engaged, and motivated workplace culture.
  • Maintain store presentation to align with merchandising, marketing, and branding standards.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' retail management experience.
  • Strong sales and customer service focus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and make autonomous decisions.
