About the role

As Senior Mine Geologist at our East Kundana mine site, reporting to the Superintendent - Mine Geology, you will provide leadership to a team of underground mine and project geologists.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing of in-mine exploration strategies.
• Overseeing the underground Mine Geology function by planning and scheduling in-mine geological activities to ensure business plans are achieved safely.
• Mentoring and supporting the professional development of the team.
• Contributing to the EOM, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
• Assisting with forecast and budget cycles by tracking expenditure and managing geological drilling contractors.
• Overseeing geological grade control processes to ensure a high standard of QAQC is maintained.
• Prepare and maintain grade control and geological models (wireframing and estimation) in conjunction with the Senior Resource Geologist.

The position will be on an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, FIFO from Perth or based residentially.

About you

To be considered for this role you must possess and be able to demonstrate the following;

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology
• Minimum 6+ years' experience across exploration and underground production
• Experience with project management with an emphasis on managing diamond drilling contractors.
• Understanding of mining geology, including gold sampling, ore deposits geochemistry, structural geology and grade modelling
• 3D modelling software experience
• Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values
• Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
