Who we're looking for
You are someone who has a great professional presentation and is an excellent communicator. You will display a strong attention to detail and love to work in a fast- paced environment. In addition:
- You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills in order to convey terms in a clear and concise manner
- Strong research skills in order to shortlist the best home loan options for our clients
- Experience of Home Lending / Mortgage or Credit products is essential with a minimum 2 years of current home loan lending experience with a bank or mortgage broker in a sales based environment
- Proven track record in achieving sales results and business development skills
- Confident to conduct home loan health check reviews for our existing clients
- Confident to conduct calls to existing or new customers and be comfortable in cold-calling marketing activities that we may attend from time to time
- Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking/Either MFAA or FBAA current accreditation would be an advantage
- Be thorough, precise and take pride in all aspects of your role
- Able to adapt to and learn changes in technology and our processes.
About the role
Working under the Mortgage Choice brand as our Home Loan Specialist/Mortgage Broker, you will help us look after our new and existing customers throughout all phases of their home loan life cycle to find them the right home loan option. Preferably you will possess a strong sales acumen to convert leads and referrals to residential loan applications. During the home loan process, you will provide an exceptional customer experience while you navigate through the journey. While no two days are ever the same, you will be doing the following:
- Provide exceptional customer service in a timely and accurate measure and responding to the needs of customers throughout all stages of the lending cycle
- Reach expected settlement targets while ensuring you have a high customer feedback rating
- Keep up to date with all administration needs eg. written documentation to be consistent with Mortgage Choice standards and industry compliance, and ensuring lender application forms and associated documentary evidence is accurately correlated
- Follow responsible lending obligations and privacy obligations
- Ensure upkeep of continuous development including but not limited to attending Lender accreditation sessions, maintaining industry CPD point score and ensuring accurate up to date knowledge of lenders products, policies and service levels
- You'll use your excellent problem-solving skills and product knowledge to answer customer queries and maintain and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
