Job Task Analysis - Arts & Culture Services

  • Contribute your talents to our success – support a skilled team of creative Arts Marketers for Kingston Arts
  • Exciting 1 day per week (0.2 FTE) opportunity, offered as part of a job share arrangement on a 12‑month fixed-term contract
  • Band 5, $81,188 - $93,494 per annum, pro rata (dependent on experience) plus superannuation

About The Team
As part of the Creative Activities team, you'll help to promote our Arts & Culture offerings across our 3 venues and help shape communications to a vibrant local community.

About This Opportunity
As an Arts Marketing and Development Officer, you'll work closely with the Visual Arts team who program Art Exhibitions across our 3 Gallery spaces, and with Community Arts & Culture projects that create opportunities for participation in the Arts across the City of Kingston.

Other Responsibilities Include

  • Assist in the planning, development and management of multiple concurrent creative campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders across Council departments to leverage marketing opportunities and channels
  • Drafting and scheduling a variety of digital and traditional marketing content, including social media, email newsletters, webpages, digital and print advertising
  • Create, ideate, and source creative materials for engaging content, in-line with brand identity and audience needs.

What You'll Bring

  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to adapt to unique challenges and situations.
  • Experience in developing and delivering multiple concurrent promotional projects, targeted to diverse audiences, across a range of digital and traditional channels.
  • Demonstrated skill in creating bespoke, engaging collateral, whilst maintaining brand identity and personality.
  • Team player committed to creating safe and inclusive culture, where individuality and creativity thrive.
  • 5+ years' experience in creative marketing or communications role, preferably in Arts & Culture, events, or entertainment industry.
