EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.
About the Opportunity
Our EnergyCo NSW Project Delivery team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project and Policy Officer to coordinate and manage complex projects that shape strategic policy, legislative advice, and infrastructure delivery across the energy sector. These projects are essential for delivering the NSW Government Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap and supporting EnergyCo's role as Infrastructure Planner of the declared Renewable Energy Zones.
The Project Delivery team manages the strategic development and delivery of major enabling infrastructure projects which support the construction of Renewable Energy Zones across the State.
This role manages all stages of project planning and delivery, coordinating across technical workstreams and engaging stakeholders to achieve high-impact outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- delivering core project management functions
- collaborating with multidisciplinary teams within EnergyCo and across government
- monitoring and reporting against project budgets and business plans
- facilitating procurement processes, negotiations, and approvals
- supporting feasibility studies, due diligence, technical assessments, and cost-benefit analyses
- analysing regulatory frameworks and contributing to intergovernmental reforms
- identifying and mitigating project risks
- preparing briefings, reports, and documentation to support evidence-based decision-making in a dynamic environment.
About You
You're a collaborative and adaptable professional with strong experience delivering complex projects and policy initiatives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. You are comfortable working across diverse technical teams with shifting priorities and you bring a hands-on approach to your work. Your organisational skills are a standout, with proven ability to manage documentation, your time and resources effectively. Experience in contract management or service provider procurement is an advantage.

Confident and credible with senior stakeholders, you know how to influence outcomes and drive progress. With a strong grasp of government processes, regulatory frameworks and community expectations, you're able to provide clear, high-impact advice on policy and project issues that matter.
