
Senior Manager, Credit Operations, Non Bank Lender

Step into a high-impact leadership role with a growing financial services business. You will lead a large credit team across Australia and offshore, driving service excellence, operational efficiency, and compliance, while shaping the company's credit strategy alongside senior executives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi-location credit team, building capability, culture, and performance.
- Own the end-to-end credit decisioning process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all products.
- Manage the implementation and adoption of credit risk and responsible lending frameworks.
- Oversee audits, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder reporting.
- Drive productivity improvements through smarter workflows, process enhancements, and system implementations (including Simpology V2).
- Act as a key escalation point for complex credit matters and policy interpretation.
- Partner with senior executives to refine credit policy, risk frameworks, and automated decision models.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, mortgage managers, LMI providers, valuers, solicitors, and regulators.
- Provide insight and solutions to the executive team to continuously enhance credit outcomes.
Ideal Candidate:
- 15+ years' experience in credit management within residential mortgages.
- 10+ years leading and developing large teams.
- Deep understanding of credit risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and compliance.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer service, efficiency, and risk.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Track record of driving operational change and delivering measurable efficiencies.
- Confident communicator, credible with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
