ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a compassionate and culturally aware individual with a passion for helping others?

ADEC is looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our vibrant team, providing in-home care and community support to older adults and people with disabilities from diverse cultural backgrounds. Locations: Northern, Eastern & Southeastern Suburbs of Melbourne

You'll play a vital role in enhancing your clients' independence, wellbeing, and connection to their communities. Every day will bring new opportunities to make a positive impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with personal care: showering, dressing, grooming
  • Supporting domestic tasks: cleaning, laundry, cooking, and light home maintenance
  • Providing transport to appointments, social outings, and community activities
  • Encouraging and participating in social, recreational, and cultural engagements
  • Keeping accurate records and communicating effectively with support teams
  • Advocating for clients' rights, needs, and preferences

What We're Looking For

We value heart, empathy, and cultural understanding just as much as qualifications. Ideal candidates will have:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability), or similar
  • Hands-on experience in home care, Aged Care or disability support
  • A caring, respectful, and flexible approach to client care
  • Current First Aid certification, a valid driver's licence, and access to a reliable vehicle
