Overview of the Opportunity
- Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies to support tenders and project delivery.
- Identify and develop new suppliers and contractors to enhance price, delivery, and quality.
- Collaborate with internal team to ensure that technical specification, scope of works, health safety and environmental and quality and any performance management are included in tender packages and ensure that they are included in final contracts
- Support the Sales/Tendering Deal team and effectively manage proposals from suppliers and subcontractors to meet tender timeframes and key deadlines.
- Lead and negotiate procurement agreements and contracts to secure products and services for the balance of plant
- Support the development and execution of contracts, ensuring adherence to key project timeframes through effective contract term negotiations aligned with Fluence's obligations to customers.
- Maintain robust record-keeping and information lifecycle management throughout procurement sourcing process
- Manage vendor selection and appointment in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure that equipment deliveries and services meet project requirements.
- Work with Construction and Operational Services teams to manage local logistics concerning storage and movement of inventory, tools, and equipment between warehousing and site locations.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date procurement documentation
- Support the project team in resolving quality and delivery issues, including claims with suppliers and contractors.
What we are looking for:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and develop relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Natural curiosity and problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot procurement strategies to adapt to changes in market conditions, engineering, or supplier issues.
- At least 3 years of procurement experience in the related industries
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate behaviors that promote employee safety and accountability.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work to deadlines.
- Demonstrable ability to work in a high-performance team within a matrixed and global organization.
- Ability for occasional travel internationally and domestically.
