A State Government agency is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to manage end-to-end procurement and tender processes. This is a hands-on role ideal for a highly independent, resilient professional who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage tender processes from concept to contract execution
  • Provide expert advice on procurement strategy, tendering methods, and commercial matters
  • Draft business cases, board reports, briefing notes, and Finance Committee papers
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with government policies, statutory requirements, and probity standards

Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive experience managing end-to-end government tenders
  • Strong knowledge of VGPB or equivalent frameworks
  • Excellent commercial acumen and understanding of procurement governance
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
